Elaine Marshall- Guest Speaker General Body Meeting
Feb 15th at 7 PM- Bingham 103

Elaine Marshall is North Carolina's Secretary of State, and she is a Democratic candidate for the 2010 U.S. Senate election. Elaine Marshall was the first woman to be elected to statewide office in NC, beating NASCAR driver Richard Petty for the position. Since being elected, she has been recognized nationally for her work as Secretary of State.

Please join the Young Democrats in welcoming Elaine Marshall to our general body meeting this Monday, Feb. 15th. She will tell us about her campaign, field questions we have, and tell us about opportunities to get involved.

Speakers & Talks

UNC-Chapel Hill Young Democrats hosts a number of speakers and events every year. In the past few years, we've heard from Barack Obama, James Taylor, Chelsea Clinton, Bill Bradley, Larry Kissell, Kay Hagan, Jim Neal, and Kal Penn, among others. Over the past decades, YD has brought speakers to campus such as John F. Kennedy, Hubert Humphrey, Adlai Stevenson, Lady Bird Johnson, and John Edwards. See photos from our events here.
