Details: Bev’s goal is to make North Carolina the best educated and healthiest state in America.  She is now breaking new ground in pushing for universal coverage of children and expanded coverage for uninsured families, more affordable private insurance for middle class families, and more preventive health care for everybody.

Opportunities: Interns with the Bev Perdue Committee are an integral part of the campaign.  Interns fill various tasks in the campaign office, from event planning to compiling mailings and updating databases.  As members of the campaign, interns also have the opportunity to travel around the state with the Lt. Governor.  With the support of enthusiastic interns, Bev Perdue will have a chance to make a lasting difference in the state of North Carolina.

Details: Brad Miller is a 3rd term Congressman who represents a district that stretches from Raleigh to Greensboro.  In his three terms, Brad has been a leader on protecting consumers from predatory lending and providing resources for scientific research and education.

Opportunities: Interns would assist in the planning and staffing of Brad Miller events (fundraising and political), making phone calls, maintaining database, and executing field operation.

Details: Ed Ridpath is the 2008 Democratic candidate for the North Carolina House in District 37.  Our campaign is a grassroots campaign that energizes and supports the Democratic Party and Democratic candidates up and down the ticket. 

Opportunities: Field Director and Volunteer Coordinator.  The intern positions are both very critical, broad based, and will give the intern an opportunity to be integral part of serious grassroots campaign.  Intern positions needed starting Jan 2008 and continue through mid-November 2008. 4 month commitment required, from 10-20 hours /week.
